Introducing the 2023–2024 Season: A Musical Journey with the Ealing Symphony Orchestra

Get ready for a captivating musical journey as we reveal the upcoming 2023–2024 season for the Orchestra, encompassing a variety of timeless classics and contemporary masterpieces. Once again, the Orchestra's unwavering dedication to showcasing the works of neglected British composers in its live performances adds a distinct and enriching dimension to this musical journey.

Mark your calendars with the following concert dates, featuring a repertoire that includes classical masterpieces, contemporary wonders, and seasonal delights:

7 October 2023 — Scenic Voyages

Let the music transport you to the stunning landscapes of Finland with Sibelius's majestic Finlandia. Then, lose yourself in the Italian countryside with Berlioz's Harold in Italy, featuring our own very talented David Way. Concluding the evening, immerse yourself in Kalinnikov's powerful and emotional Symphony No. 1 in G.

25 November 2023 — Echoes of Genius

Prepare to be enchanted by Ravel's mesmerising La Valse, followed by Rachmaninov's popular Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini. The evening will also feature George Lloyd's awe-inspiring Symphony No. 4, a part of the Orchestra’s George Lloyd Symphonic Cycle.

9 December 2023 — Christmas Celebration

We are hoping to go ahead with our usual Christmas concert on 9 December, subject to checking that this can be accommodated without disturbing ABRSM music exams taking place on that date at the church.

24 February 2024 — Mahler’s Monumental Symphony

Embark on a transcendent journey as we present Mahler's monumental Symphony No. 3, a wonderful masterpiece that delves into the wonders of nature and the human spirit. Featuring a choir of talented children from local Ealing schools.

Further concert dates follow on 18 May and 13 July, with programmes yet to be finalised.
